Education & Workshops

Deep Learning

I conduct workshops in a range of topics such as ethics, language and communication, spirituality, loss and grief, self care and talking about dying.

I have worked with varied groups including adult students, volunteers, professionals and family caregivers.

Education to me is about enabling a process which encourages and facilitates participants to look at things in new ways, to develop greater self-awareness and learn up to date knowledge and practical skills.

With my flexible, non judgmental and inclusive style of education, I have gathered constructive feedback which has helped me to re-shape the workshops into what works best for people.

I am pleased to tailor these workshops to your educational and contextual needs, however more time is better (2-3 hours or more) and a smaller group is more effective (6-16 people).

The workshop topics I have already conducted include

Exploring loss, grief and bereavement

Enhancing spiritual support and awareness

Initiating conversations about dying and conducting advance care planning

Reflecting on the legalities and ethics of end of life care

Enhancing empathic communication

Balancing care of others versus care of self

Relationships and boundaries in palliative care

Please feel free to contact me if you require further description, including the objectives, for these workshops.
